I had a great time fishing with Capt. Jeff,there were numerous schools of large tarpon swirling and jumping on the South Beach and bay area. My sister Stephanie and I caught jack cravelles and other smaller fish. The highlight of my trip was hooking eighty pound tarpon which took about forty minutes to land, this included my birthday tarpon being taken hold of by a large shark as I was fighting him. My tarpon took us on a half mile ride that felt like I was attached to a tractor trailer,which finally ended up in the intercoastal waterway. I recommend Capt. Jeff to anyone who really wants to catch monster tarpon.

Lunkerdog is top notch, very knowledgeable and overall, one of the best fishing guides we’ve had the opportunity of fishing with. We boarded Jeff’s boat around 4:30 pm and within 15 minutes, we had Tarpon making our live mullet dance across the top of the water. For the next 5 – 6 hours, we experienced one strike after another and had about 6 good hook-ups, getting 2 to the boat between 30 – 60 lbs. We had so many strikes that we lost count!
